What’s next? World Champion Trevor Voyce tells us

The next biggie on the AR calender is Wulong Quest. It attracts a lot of the top AR racers. World Champs Team Seagate will be competing. It’s tough for them after the hard racing year they have had and the lack of recovery time post World Champs. The MARCH asked Team Seagate and World Champion Trevor Voyce what Wulong was all about:

The MARCH = Tell us about Wulong Quest?

T.V. = Basically its a 3 day stage race in the Hills. We all fly to Chongqing and drive from there to Wulong province in China.

The MARCH = As a stage race how long is the racing each day?

T.V. = The race starts with a prologue of about an hours duration. The next day we start the first of 3 stages lasting 6-8hours each.

The MARCH = What sort of disciplines are involved?

T.V. = It usually has a bit of the usual running, mountain biking and kayaking mixed in with some caving, ropes and some kind of random activity (last year it was a vegetable carry relay).

The MARCH = Sounds epic. Who is racing for Team Seagate in Wulong?

T.V. = Me and Nathan Fa’avae, along with Sophie Hart and Nick Ross.

The MARCH = A cracking team and a cracking race. You were in the winning team last year. Kia Kaha!
